Windows Movie Maker - How To Import Media
Today I will be giving a tutorial on how to import media into Windows Movie Maker, such as videos, music and pictures. Windows Movie can only be used on Pc’s. It is not available for Mac’s.
1. Open the Movie Maker Application, the icon should look like or be similar to what’s highlighted in red.

2. This is what the Movie Program should look like once it’s come up.(I’m using the 2.6 version)

3. After Movie Maker appears on your screen, it’s time to import a video. First thing you’re going to do is go to “File” which is located in the top left hand corner and click on it.

4. After opening the file tab you are then going to scroll down and click on “import into collections” and browse for the media you would like to import.

5. After you have browsed for the media you want to edit, select it and hit import. (Please be aware on what the format of your media, movie maker will not import certain formats.)

6. You also have the option of clicking the check box at the bottom of the menu to turn you imported media into clips. (However music, audio, and pictures can’t be imported as clips)

7. Here’s how your video should look after it has been imported into Movie Maker.

And that’s how you import media into Windows Movie Maker. My next Toturial will show the basics of how to add and edit you media and then save it to your computer.
